As good as Steph still is it would be ridiculous to give away any significant future assets for vets almost as old as Steph and try and build around a 36-37 year old. The choices are really pretty simple. They either give Klay the money and contract he wants and call it a fairwell tour for the core shed salary elsewhere to get under the tax threshold. Just let them play but forego any attempts at playoff runs etc just sell tickets for Chase. Or actually pivot to a rebuild ship everyone out who's over 25 for as many young players and draft picks as you can. Bring in a dynamic young guard and see what JK mood etc are really like in that environment. Then We'd really see how much Kerr likes coaching without his security blanket around.

Pg knowing Steph is the point guard I think pg would be more consistent with his scoring and shot attempts. Unlike Klay, pg can put the ball on the floor from all spots and can see the floor and playmake.
